I gave this book to my step-brother. This is the best book I've read this year of any genre. Laura has presented a mature look back at Peoples Temple without presenting a defense for the actions of Jim Jones. Laura's account, although very personal, is also rather revealing. Much I LOVE this book!

With brief descriptions and fine prints, it is enjoyable as well as creative to read and clear your mind, much needed for modern lives.. Book was OK but I was disappointed it was not more in depth about his various negotiations in the Senate and after versus his life. The focus is the people who were a part of the temple. This was a fascinating read about an amazing individual. The book also arrived damaged, I got what I paid for.. She has developed the ability to not blame, but to try and understand. a plus, very good product,
